This project involved designing a digital platform to showcase the work of students and alumni from CU Denver’s College of Arts & Media. The goal was to create a centralized, professional space that highlights creative achievement, supports career growth, and engages prospective students and industry professionals. To guide feature development and design decisions, I conducted a survey and follow-up interviews with current students and alumni, gathering insights on portfolio habits, pain points, and ideal showcase experiences.
The final design draws inspiration from physical media—scrap textures, cutout elements, hand-printed typography—to reflect the tactile, process-driven nature of the CAM community. These visual choices echo the analog roots of many creative practices, while reinforcing the diversity of disciplines included in the showcase. The result is a dynamic, user-informed platform that feels both functional and expressive.
Note: This project is currently in the user-testing phase and will be refined further and potentially developed for UCD.
